Meet Aaron Ashton.
Aaron Ashton doesn’t overcomplicate things. First and foremost, he’s a husband and father of three, his self described dream job, with everything else orbiting around that core. As an entrepreneur and creator, his interests span old cars, watches, clothing, and architecture, but they are all tied together by a consistent point of view: keep it simple. That philosophy is not new. It was shaped early on, influenced by a home that prioritized quality over quantity. For Aaron, the throughline is clear. Surround yourself with things that last, and make space only for what matters.

Your world feels very intentional—cars, photography, family, objects. Has that always been the case, or did it evolve over time?
“Keep it simple” has always been a life motto for me… From what I collect, create and keep on me at all times, it always comes back to keeping it simple and intentional. Things that last are simple and that's what I'm drawn towards. My parents had a lot to do with that thinking. They never crowded their lives and I noticed that from a young age. Quality over quantity.
You’ve worked in and around creative direction, what does “good design” mean to you now?
Things that are built with Purpose for a Purpose! Whether its clothing, accessories or cars - I love surrounding myself with things that are built well, made to last and are crafted by people that understand who will wear or use them. The foundation of good design is Quality.
Your car seems to be your daily driver: family, errands, life. Is that intentional?
It wasn't always drawn up that way. We really put the work in to get that car where it is today. With the help of friends and mechanics I trust, the 912 is absolutely dialed and we are in the perfect area to daily drive it. I have another car I can drive but my hand is always grabbing the Porsche keys.
Why do you think older Porsches resonate so much right now?
Great question… I have always said that 912s specifically have never gotten the love or appreciation they deserve. Luckily with our channel and Fast Saturday people are starting to notice. Air cooled porsche have always been hot, but with an older crowd.. With a younger group of Porsche owners starting to enjoy and own these cars, It has a new life and is exploding. Any new car these days is so expensive. I think people are starting to realize you can drive a really cool vintage car for the same price or less.
You’ve always had an appreciation for small, purposeful objects—what makes something earn a place in your pocket every day?
Bulky items don't fit in my life… If it's in my pocket, that means it's slim and will be used daily. I keep 4 things on me at all times. My watch, my wallet, keys with the Elko on it and the Carter knife in my pocket. All have a purpose.
Where does a tool like the Elko fit into your daily routine?
The Elko has been on the keys for a minute now… From adjusting the idle screws on the Porsche, to opening packages. It is the perfect compact tool that can do more than one thing. Its out of the way and something I can always count on.
What do you look for in something that lives on your keychain?
Sleek design, multiuse and indestructible.
A perfect Saturday for you—what does it look like, start to finish?
An early morning coffee before the kids are up, a morning surf with my daughter Callan, a backyard hang with the whole family and an afternoon moto with my son Wyatt. We are busy!
Speaking of Saturday’s, how did Fast Saturday’s come about? What were you trying to create?
Fast Saturday is a community we have built the last 3 years.. A place where like minded enthusiasts can meet and enjoy the cars, coffee and company of owners, photographers, families and others that are inspired and curious. It has honestly grown to a size we never imagined.. Our last show had 350 air cooled Porsche and close to 6,000 people. It's amazing to see the steam behind it. The show and coffee is always free and we plan to keep it that way forever.
What are you excited about right now?
I am always so stoked on so many things… Seeing my kids grow up everyday and become their own person has been a blessing to witness. That makes me excited to wake up, live a full life and let them experience some incredible things. Other than that we are really doubling down on Fast Saturday and creating some really cool things behind the scenes. More on that soon!
