James x Lucas Beaufort.
We partnered with artist, nomad, and skateboarder Lucas Beaufort to design & develop a super-limited edition of our recently-released fixed blade knife, the Hell Gap. Due to the clompex and time intensive manufacturing process, production was limited to only twenty pieces. No two pieces are the same, and we won’t be making any more. Once they’re gone, they’re gone forever.
Made the hard way.
We teamed up with Minneapolis-based knife-maker and materials expert Adam Brackney (@WKRMN) to come up with an innovative way to translate the colorful artwork of Lucas into the handles of the Hell Gap. We pushed resin technology to its limit and molded 3-dimensional blocks from Lucas’s artwork, then CNC machined the scales out of the solid resin block. This means that the color goes all the way through the material, and it ensures that no two can ever be the same.
Poured resin scales.
