Featuring a slide-lock mechanism, a corrosion-resistant VG-10 stainless steel blade, fully-profiled G10 or Micarta scales and a deep-carry, reversible pocket clip, the Carter is the most advanced knife we've ever made. It's slim and lightweight, but fully capable in any environment. It's also fully ambidextrous, and the pocket clip can easily be removed and replaced with a lanyard insert. The thumb disc design means that the Carter is easy to use with one hand, so it's at the ready in all situations. The Carter is going to immediately earn it's spot in your EDC rotation.

The Carter features slide-lock technology, a first for us here at TJB. The slide-lock is secure, easy to understand and ambidextrous. It’s designed for use with one hand, and has been a staple mechanism of everyday carry knives for a long time.

Designed & Made Better
The Japanese-made VG-10 stainless steel blade has great edge-retention and corrosion resistance. VG-10 was designed to handle the abuse of the culinary world, but because of its amazing characteristics, it’s found a home in the world of everyday carry. The Carter is available with G10 scales or in natural Micarta; both are fully sculpted and feel amazing in hand. The opening style uses a symmetrical thumb-disc on top of the blade, making for easy, affirmative one-handed opening. The deep-carry pocket clip is our deepest ever. It’s easily reversible (using a Torx T6, not included). If a pocket clip isn’t your thing you can replace the clip with the included lanyard insert.
The Carter is available in regular and XL sizes, so it will fit hands and jobs of all sizes. If you are looking for something that is discreet and rides easily in any pocket all day, stick with the standard Carter. If you've got bigger hands, and need a full-size knife for hardcore work day in and day out, the Carter XL is for you.

Love the knife. Replaced one I unfortunately lost. Also had another James knife that had a minor issue. I worked with customer service and they replaced the damaged knife without hesitation. Rock Solid
Slimmer overall profile than the 'normal' sized Carter that I've had for a while now, the handfeel is great. The opening mechanism is extremely sturdy, but not so much that is restrictive to quick access. I was originally expecting a bit of a color clash for this colorway but the green, orange and black just work really well together. Another great piece from TJB!
