Featuring a slide-lock mechanism, a corrosion-resistant VG-10 stainless steel blade, fully-profiled G10 or Micarta scales and a deep-carry, reversible pocket clip, the Carter is the most advanced knife we've ever made. It's slim and lightweight, but fully capable in any environment. It's also fully ambidextrous, and the pocket clip can easily be removed and replaced with a lanyard insert. The thumb disc design means that the Carter is easy to use with one hand, so it's at the ready in all situations. The Carter is going to immediately earn it's spot in your EDC rotation.
The Carter features slide-lock technology, a first for us here at TJB. The slide-lock is secure, easy to understand and ambidextrous. It’s designed for use with one hand, and has been a staple mechanism of everyday carry knives for a long time.
The VG-10 stainless steel blade has great edge-retention and corrosion resistance. VG-10 was designed to handle the abuse of the culinary world, but because of its amazing characteristics, it’s found a home in the world of everyday carry. The Carter is available with G10 scales or in natural Micarta; both are fully sculpted and feel amazing in hand. The opening style uses a symmetrical thumb-disc on top of the blade, making for easy, affirmative one-handed opening. The deep-carry pocket clip is our deepest ever. It’s easily reversible (using a Torx T6, not included). If a pocket clip isn’t your thing you can replace the clip with the included lanyard insert.
The Carter is available in regular and XL sizes, so it will fit hands and jobs of all sizes. If you are looking for something that is discreet and rides easily in any pocket all day, stick with the standard Carter. If you've got bigger hands, and need a full-size knife for hardcore work day in and day out, the Carter XL is for you.

I have been carrying this knife for a couple of weeks now… I really like it. It came very sharp and has held an edge so far. I think it’s a great utility knife. It fits my hands very well and I like the way it open and locks, great knife
Great weight and feel. Easy to operate with the thumb stud. Strong locking mechanism. Looks great too. I can see this as my new favorite EDC.
I wasn’t 100% sure of the size of the knife, but it turned out to be what I was hoping for. I had a bench made that was similar to this for a long time and it was stolen. I am anxious to see how this holds up to everyday use. Thank you.
