We've redesigned the Ellis from the ground up, based on feedback from you, our customers. First off, we've added our very first scissors, which makes the Ellis supremely versatile. If you can't cut it with the Ellis's knife blade, you can almost assuredly cut it with scissors. We have also updated the construction of the Ellis into a slip-joint design to make it easier to use. The new Ellis also features a new deep-carry wire clip as well as our All-Things scraper, flat-head screwdriver and pry tool. The Ellis is built around a partially-serrated Swedish Sandvik 12C27 stainless-steel blade and is available in three different scale options. It will immediately become your daily multi-tool of choice.

Excellent delivery. The Ellis has wonderful weight and balance. For my needs a knife and scissors is the perfect set of features. Quality is superlative, very pleased with the product. Thank you!
Convenient and useful knife and scissors, with a nice size flat head slot driver. I use this as a fly fishing tool, cuts line close and the slot head fits my Abel fly reel drawl bar screw well. I chose the black G-10 side plates with the un-serrated blade.
Larger than expected but great. The scissors are a very welcome addition. Pocket clip is substantial without detracting from the overall package. As usual, exceptional James attention to detail.
While I don’t consitter myself an expert, I do have a few knives. And this knife just feels premium! I had my eye on three James Brand knives. I got the Ellis, to test the water. After receiving it, I absolutely plan to get the other two!
Got a blue one (on close-out I assume, as I don't see it here anymore) and it is the most used pocket knife I have owned (among many). The scissors and pry-bar/screwdriver get way more mileage than I expected.
Love the fit and finish. Has a quality blade that holds sharpness with nice detent. It's a pleasure to use. Minor suggestions would be to improve the mechanism of the springless scissors so that they are not as easy to disengage and need to re-snap into place. They can get unhooked from each other and flip backwards, requiring them to be snapped back together. Otherwise, it would be nice for the blade to have a thumb stud for easier deployment.
