The pocket knife reimagined.

The Pike started with a simple brief: create a modern take on your grandfather's knife with a simple, clean interpretation of the classic non-locking slip-joint. We paired inviting, warm materials with a clean, modern form meant for those who wanted to carry a knife in their pocket, not on their hip. The result was a slim, minimal design that's destined to become a modern heirloom.

EVERY DETAIL CONSIDERED

Designed to be an Icon.

We started designing the Pike after listening to your feedback on the County. The County was our second knife ever, and it shared the same initial brief as the Pike: to create a modern interpretation of the small, in-pocket slip joint like your grandfather might have in his pocket. We started by turning the form on its head, and instead of using the horizontal lines of the two bolsters as key design details, we created a long horizontal line that became the defining element of the design.

Since that time we've seen many others borrow liberally from that idea. We've maintained that key element in the Pike, but we've softened the form to make it more at home in the pocket. We've also added a Wharncliffe blade shape, which is a first for us. This gives the knife a minimal, refined feel, and maximizes the length of the blade with regard to the overall length of the knife.

The all black Pike slip joint pocket knife with other everyday objects.

More Bar Friendly Items Please!

I've had the Pike in the classic Rosewood for a while and it's a classic and a staple and rarely leaves my pocket... Until now.

The Death & Co. version of the Pike is just stunning to look at. The Damascus on the blade isnt overly done, the matte black finish just feels good. The lettering is gorgeous I just hope it doesn't scratch out or wear off.

That being said James Brand , I imagine quite a few of your every day users are bartenders or bartender adjacent.

Why not go all in on a bar knife/tool/opener/wine key and no I dont mean a mashup . It would be nice to have high quality versions of these tools. Yes I know some are available but not from James Brand!

Gorgeous - but small

I bought this as an anniversary gift for my husband. It’s beautiful and he absolutely loves it. It’s just smaller than what I was expecting.

Great looking knife.

I really like the quality and look of the knife.

The wood inlay and stainless construction gives it a classic but strong aesthetic.

My only gripe is the price cause it's Made in China.

IF it was completely Made in America the price would be fair.
