I really like my Ellis Slim, so much so that I’ve carried it every day since I got it. It’s light, sturdy, and simple. The blade easily sharpens and strops to a razor edge. The only thing that bugs me is how much it costs, when the marketplace is practically flooded at that price point with much better steels. 12C27 is an ok steel at the $50 level, but a $100 knife should have something like S35VN or even M390 these days. While 12C27 takes a nice edge, it won’t hold it anywhere near as long as better steels that are available from many competitors at this price and often for even less. Please, James Brand, upgrade this fine EDC knife to a more competitive steel.
