The Madison is the younger sibling of the Mehlville, which was our very first carabiner and continues to be a constant best-seller. Like the Mehlville, the Madison features a machined two-compartment design to keep your keys securely attached—even when getting the Madison on or off a belt loop. The Madison is machined from billet aluminum or titanium, delivering a high strength-to-weight ratio. The thinner design of the Madison means that it always hangs straight; there’s no side-to-side rocking happening here. With less bulk, the Madison is lightweight, functional, and beautiful. How do you take a good concept and make it better? This was the challenge with the Madison: take the Mehlville, and make it smaller without sacrificing aesthetics or functionality. The Madison shares the same faceted design language in a more minimal, slim profile. It’s only one belt loop wide, meaning it hangs straight all the time, and keeps your keys and other essentials secure and at the ready.

Every Detail Considered

Designed to be different.

We tasked the design team with taking the general thinking behind the Mehlville and making it smaller. We lost the bottle opener and reduced the width substantially, following the design cues from our Holcombe carabiner. The result is a low-profile carabiner that always presents straight; there’s no sag on your belt loop. Our two-compartment design separates the attachment gate from the gate that holds your key ring, making it darn near impossible to lose your keys when you attach the Madison to your belt loop. The Madison is machined out of billet 6063-T5 aluminum, making it lightweight, strong and durable. It’s offered in a number of anodized aluminum finishes.

Just ok

I obviously loved the design and looks of this and have other James Brand products, so I had no hesitation to buy this, as all of their other products have been exceptional quality, for this however after literally 1 day of very light use for a couple hours, the black started wearing off. I get it these things are anodized and it wears but for 50$ I expected to get a little more life out of it before it happened. I still love James Brand products but for this one I probably could have saved some money..

Titanium Madison!!!

Have the Titanium Mehlville but sometimes its too wide for some belt loops. The is the perfect size and works flawlessly as expected!
