Form and Function.

The Carter features slide-lock technology, a first for us here at TJB. The slide-lock is secure, easy to understand and ambidextrous. It’s designed for use with one hand, and has been a staple mechanism of everyday carry knives for a long time.

Designed & Made Better

The VG-10 stainless steel blade has great edge-retention and corrosion resistance. VG-10 was designed to handle the abuse of the culinary world, but because of its amazing characteristics, it’s found a home in the world of everyday carry. The Carter is available with G10 scales or in natural Micarta; both are fully sculpted and feel amazing in hand. The opening style uses a symmetrical thumb-disc on top of the blade, making for easy, affirmative one-handed opening. The deep-carry pocket clip is our deepest ever. It’s easily reversible (using a Torx T6, not included).

The Carter is available in regular and XL sizes, so it will fit hands and jobs of all sizes. If you are looking for something that is discreet and rides easily in any pocket all day, stick with the standard Carter. If you've got bigger hands, and need a full-size knife for hardcore work day in and day out, the Carter XL is for you.

Like/ not like

The like part is easy. Nice design, easy open and close. Very smooth. Nice bolsters. Feels great in the hands. Blade is a nice shape and an OK color. The pocket clip works well.

The not like. The bright gold finish on the clip and the lock. Makes an otherwise elegant folder look tacky. Should have chosen a different color combo.

Favorite folder

I love my new the Carter. It is now my favorite folder easy open Easy clothes one hand at no problem . I love the fact that it's sharp right out of the box.

Good Looking EDC Knife

Nice carry knife that's legal length everywhere in New England. Good fit in my size medium hands and opens easily with either thumb. The blade came well-sharpened. A modest weight that feels good in my hand and looks good in use. Only con is the clip; it's extremely stiff and tight and is hard to insert and remove on both jeans and dress pants. Hoping it'll loosen up over time.
