Does the Job

Compact, light and not bulky. Fits easily in my pocket for everyday use. The blade is easy to remove and replace and I love having a sharp blade at all times and replacement blades are very inexpensive. It takes standard blades available at any hardware store or online. The slide mechanism is slightly clunky but even if you miss and end up with the mechanism on the replace position there is no danger. I find that I go for the Palmer every day. I use it for trimming vegetable plants, opening packages, scoring troublesome plastic bottle tops, and trimming paper. It's perfect for the job it's intended to address.
