The Ellis features a two-handed slip joint design rooted in tradition and built on a time-tested, reliable mechanism. With fewer moving parts, slip joints are simple, durable, and less prone to failure or jamming. They carry a familiar, understated presence—more in line with a classic cutting tool you can use comfortably in any setting. Slip joint knives like the Ellis are ideal for everyday tasks like opening boxes, cutting cord or tape, and taking on the daily challenge of packaging in all its forms.

From the phosphor bronze washers to the CNC-milled dot pattern and paint-filled Clovis mark, every detail of the Ellis is considered. The Sandvik 12C27 stainless blade delivers long-lasting corrosion resistance, while the pen-style clip carries cleanly in or out of pocket. A half-stop adds safety, and the All Things® pry/scraper lets you attach it to keys, add a lanyard, turn screws, or pop a bottle, all in a package under half an inch thick and just over 4 ounces.
