Beautiful knife, a pleasure to use... with just one flaw
A lovely knife: I love the look, the weight and the sharpness of the blade. I also like the size, between a classic chef knife and a large petty. The only flaw is (as another review mentioned) the top of the blade has square, unrounded edges. For limited home cooking or field use, it doesn't matter much. But it IS a little uncomfortable. And for the price on a limited run, I am surprised this wasn't considered, given the James Brand's reputation for fit and finish.

Think scalpel !
I love the Anzick, until my skin meets the blade. The heel end of the blade is unusually long under the handle and my fingers are learning the hard way to avoid that last inch of razor sharp Magnacut. Perhaps a shorter blade would have been ok since you don't need leverage from the length of the knife. Seriously, this knife should be delivered with a first aid kit. I would suggest keeping the Anzick out of reach of anyone except the owner; and add a lanyard hole. Please provide an easy- slip-on blade cover in case it goes into a drawer. Four stars (not 5) only because the blade heel is an awkward hazard.
