Sometimes everyday carry means more than what you can put in your pockets.

Introducing the Hell Gap; our first fixed blade knife. Named after the Hell Gap arrowhead found in Platte County, Wyoming, the Hell Gap is a rugged workhorse, like the land of its namesake. Built around an s35vn steel blade and canvas Micarta or G10 scales, it's a cutting polymath; built to be capable of doing work ranging from digging roots in the backyard to dicing onions for your camp breakfast burrito.

Nice knife but smaller than I thought

The knife is well made and looks good. Haven't had a chance yet to use it long term, but so far, it's holding its edge nicely. It will serve my purposes (general all-purpose camp knife), but it's smaller overall than I was envisioning. Perhaps I should have paid closer attention to the dimensions but its closer in style and size to a paring knife than what the photos would suggest.

The sheath is kinda' funny. It doesn't seem particularly secure, but will protect the blade (assuming it stays in place).

Great tool!

Expertly crafted, well-balanced, sharp as a razor (literally!) a sturdy blade I’m sure I will use ranching, camping, or in any emergency situation. I do wish JB offered a leather scabbard option.

The Hell Gap

This knife is very well designed and as with all James Brand products it is built to last.

Fits in hand great and looks great! Blade shape and grind allow for multiple tasks from cutting rope, making fire start, and food prep. I use this knife mainly for camping and hiking. The sheath needs to be redesigned. It's loose and does not fit the knife well. The sheath needs to snap on and off in such a way as to instill confidence in the user.

Also for the money the sheath should include a combo belt pocket clip.

I don't mind paying a premium price for a premium product and in this case the knife is on point and the sheath is not.
