The Modern Pocket Knife

The Duval is our first front-flipper, combining the best features of two classic knife silhouettes into a sleek and functional new form. Traditional gentlemen's knives require two hands to open and close, and they don't generally lock. With its front-flipper opening style and it's frame-lock design, you get the best of both worlds: the ease of opening and security of a traditional frame-lock knife, combined with slimness, symmetry and beauty of a classic gentlemen's pocket knife.

THE MODERN GENTLEMEN'S POCKET KNIFE

The Best in Materials and Design.

The Duval uses American-made Crucible s35vn stainless blade steel, and has a frame of 6al4v titanium. The modified sheepsfoot blade shape is as useful as it is beautiful. The main pivot uses ceramic ball bearings for an incredibly smooth action. Scale options include rosewood and OD green micarta.

With the Duval we took cues from mid-century design and combined them with the very best materials to create a modern-day gentlemen's pocket knife that has all of the features of a traditional frame-lock design.

Mid

It’s a good knife with great materials. That being said it definitely not worth $300. The frame lock it extremely sticky, and the position of the flipper is just unfortunate. It also came really dull which isn't a big issue, just not what you expect for $300.

beautiful but scary

I wouldn't exactly call myself a "knife guy", but I've had quite a few over the years and like collecting them. I was attracted to the Duval simply because it's classy and different. It's a beautiful knife and I'll love displaying it, as well as using it from time to time. Scary? The opening of it. Still not sure the best way with one hand. A video would be nice as I feel I must be gripping it wrong in order to deploy the blade with the front thingy.

A deal

I watched this knife for a while, snatched it up when the price dropped with a new model. I agree with other reviews that one hand opening is a little difficult, but otherwise I like the blade, heft, and grip of this knife. I have the green micarda.

Christmas Gift

I received this pocket knife for Christmas from my wife. I love the sleek style with a great grip. Carry all day, compact, light and sharp. I bought one for my son’s birthday!
